“I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way- things that I had no words for” – Georgia O’keeffe
I find this in art. Just as simple as a line or an scribble can show so much emotion. The feeling of being lost or depressed could be a spiral. Insecure just a little speck on the paper. The feeling of hurt, jagged sharp edges that break.
Sometimes you just don’t know what to say or what to feel, or you never knew these feelings existed. Drawing can let theese feelings loose. Whether it be from dark deep art or a sunset full of love radiating from the tip of your pencil.
Color can show such liveliness or sadness. Black and white can show sadness, or blankness. Red anger. Green ease and peace. Colors show and are so much more than just a shade.
Art can make you feel things you’ve never felt before, you can get lost in the paper. To another world you never knew existed.
